The Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation is in charge of the P-Yes Registration, which is coordinated by the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on Youth and Student Affairs.

According to the coordinator, the P-YES aims to build at least 774,000 empowerment opportunities through direct youth empowerment over a two-year span.

Who should apply for the P-Yes Registration?

You must be a Nigerian male or female between the ages of 18 and 40 to apply for the Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme. According to the Nigerian National Youth Policy, this is the “Youth Age.”

GOALS OF P-Yes Registration

The Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme (P-YES) was created with the following goals in mind:

  • Create at least 774,000 empowerment opportunities for Nigerian youth to combat and reduce unemployment.
  • Youth should be trained and empowered so that they can inspire at least one other youth in their immediate community.
  • Make money for the burgeoning youth population.
  • Ensure that the target group has a steady source of income.
  • Combat the scourge of youth crime and substance addiction by motivating them to participate in constructive activities.
  • Assist the Federal Government of Nigeria in achieving its financial inclusion policy.
  • On a long-term basis, improve efficiency, productivity, and value addition for new and established urban and rural entrepreneurs throughout Nigeria’s 774 Local Government Areas.
  • Consolidate and incorporate youth development into the government’s key strategies, programs, and the national budget.
  • Develop the youth’s capacity to take care of their own well-being and future by enhancing their assets and realizing their potential.
  • To include the youth in the Federal Government of Nigeria’s Economic Diversification Agenda.
  • Contribute to GDP growth by fostering the growth of micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs).

The Presidential Youth Empowerment Scheme coordinators take this initiative very seriously, so successful applicants can prepare to be monitored. An Impact Assessment, Compliance, and Evaluation Monitoring team will be sent to ensure that recipients of the scheme follow the scheme’s guidelines.

Eligible Applicants Must Apply for P-Yes Registration

The conditions for applying for the P-YES are mentioned below.

  • The applicant must be a Nigerian man or woman between the ages of 18 and 40 years old.
  • Applicants must demonstrate a fundamental capacity to learn and the ability to be taught.
  • At least one valid form of identification (National Identity Card, International Passport, or Permanent Voters Card – PVC) is required of the applicant.
  • To be eligible for the scheme, the applicant must have a Second Level Beneficiary (SLB).
  • The applicant must be able to communicate in both basic English and any local Nigerian language.
  • A sound mind and a proven upright character.
  • A guarantor, ideally a group or religious leader, must be provided by the applicant.
  • Possibility of obtaining the support of a local government official.
  • Beneficiaries should be able to mentor pairs and share skills within their groups.
  • A guarantor form must be completed by all applicants.

  • Click the “Apply Now” button at the bottom of the page.
  • You will be routed to the www.p-yes.gov.ng portal’s “Signup” tab.
  • Create a user account (use functional email and mobile no)
  • Both applicants must register on the website using their present and working mobile phone numbers and email addresses.
  • Although an email address is not required in this phase, it is recommended that you provide one to ensure that your verification code is delivered.
  • You will receive an activation code via SMS and email. To proceed, you’ll need to include this activation code in the next step.
  • Create an account and enable it.
  • Please take the time to complete the five-step registration form below. If you don’t have all of the details right now, save it by pressing “Save for later” and return at a later time to continue.

Step 1: Fill out your bio, including your date of birth and contact details.
Check the box to confirm that you have double-checked and confirmed the details you entered on this list.

Step 2: Complete the Jobs, Business, and Program History sections (The Highest Academic Qualification, Employment Status, are you a recipient of any government empowerment programs? Do you already own a business?)

  • Login to the p-yes.gov.ng portal and fill out the P-Yes Registration Application Form 2020/2021.

  • After successfully registering, take a printout of the acknowledgment.

The federal government has not requested a P-Yes Registration fee from any of the readers. We suggest that you complete your form online. You can gain a thorough understanding by doing so. This will protect you from fraud or scams.

P-Yes Registration Shortlisted Candidates Update

Please notice that the P-yes program’s first batch registration has ended, and qualified candidates have been shortlisted in some states. The successful candidates have received messages. If you received a message from the organizers, please follow the instructions or wait for further instructions from the P-Yes program’s promoters.
